Idle Enlistment

Idle Enlistment

A soldier's career, from the recruiter's office to your discharge papers.

Enlist, survive Basic, earn your MOS and your badges, join your unit and deploy. An idle game that keeps training while you're away, made by a cavalry scout who lived it.

No account needed to play: your soldier saves on this device. Accounts add cloud saves and rankings.

The rifle qualification range: pop-up targets from 50 to 300 meters, range markers and limit chevrons, seen through the iron sights
Qualify on the range: forty pop-up targets, your sights, your badge.
The training cycle page: week by week through Basic and OSUT
Basic, then your job: walked week by week, milestone by milestone.
The unit roster: the troop's headquarters and platoon, every soldier with their rank insignia
Your unit: a real roster, chain of command and seniority.
The character sheet's awards: ribbons and the Expert marksmanship badge with rifle and pistol clasps
Your record: ribbons, badges and the career behind them.
The enlistment contract: pick your MOS, your reason, your term
It starts with a contract. Pick your MOS and sign.

What you do

Enlist and train

Reception, the drill sergeants, the gas chamber, the range. Four MOSs to start: 11B, 19D, 12B and 68W, each with its own training and perks.

Earn it on the range

Shoot record fire yourself, rifle and pistol, at four target speeds. Your badge and your accuracy come from how you shoot.

Idle, but not mindless

Queue PT, the range or your job training and come back later. Your soldier keeps working offline, and every choice you make still counts.

Your unit, your squad

Report to a real-feeling troop with a chain of command, a promotion path from PV1 up, contracts, reenlistment and the long road to retirement.

Missions and decisions

Training lanes and field exercises with fire control, team orders and the calls you make on the ground, with consequences for your Army Values.

Written by someone who served

Real terminology and the small details only a soldier remembers. Respectful of the real war and the people in it; the units and places are fictional.
